We are so glad you’re interested in visiting theCross! We want to make your experience as smooth and welcoming as possible. Below are some common questions guests often have, along with helpful answers.
1. What time are your services? Our Sunday services begin at 10 AM. We also open the sanctuary from 9:15 - 9:45 AM for those who would like to come in and find a quiet place to pray.
2. Where is the church located? We are located at 3253 North Brush College Road in Decatur (across the street from Richland Community College). Parking is available on-site, and our friendly volunteers will help direct you when you arrive.
3. What should I wear? Come as you are! Most people dress casually. Jeans and t-shirts are welcome.
4. What happens during the service? A typical service lasts about an hour and a half and includes worship music, prayer, and a Bible-based message. If you’re new, feel free to observe and participate at your own comfort level.
5. Is there something for my kids? Absolutely! Our Kids Ministry meets during the Sunday morning service. Jr. Kids is for children from birth to 4 years old. CrossKids is for elementary age students from 1st thru 6th grade. We are confident that your children will enjoy a safe and fun environment designed just for them.
6. Will I be singled out as a guest? Not at all! We’ll never ask you to stand or do anything that might make you uncomfortable. However, we’d love for you to fill out a Connect Card at our desk in the lobby so we can get to know you better.
7. How can I get involved or learn more? Visit our Connect Desk after the service, or take a few minutes to browse through our website. We also offer small groups (Communities), ministry opportunities, and various events where you can connect with others.
