Worship Pastor/Director
Part-Time, 16-20 Hours Per Week

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and spiritually mature Worship Pastor/Director to lead our congregation in meaningful worship experiences. This role combines musical leadership, team development, technical oversight, and spiritual guidance as a key member of our church staff.

Key Responsibilities

Worship Leadership

  • Plan and lead engaging Sunday morning worship services that align with our church's theology and sermon themes
  • Select and arrange music that encourages congregation participation and spiritual growth
  • Work collaboratively with the Lead Pastor to create cohesive worship experiences

Team Development & Leadership

  • Recruit, train, and lead volunteer vocalists and musicians for the praise team
  • Build and develop a media team to support worship and technical production needs
  • Lead weekly worship rehearsals ensuring musical and spiritual excellence

Technical Production

  • Oversee and manage church livestream operations during services
  • Edit and prepare sermon recordings for distribution on church website and social media platforms
  • Maintain audio/visual equipment and recommend upgrades to enhance worship experiences

Administrative Duties

  • Participate actively in Monday staff meetings and collaborate with ministry leaders
  • Manage worship ministry resources and budgets responsibly
  • Maintain effective communication with volunteers, staff, and congregation

Schedule

This is a part-time position requiring approximately 16-20 hours per week, including:

  • Monday office hours and staff meetings
  • Sunday morning worship service
  • Weekly worship team rehearsal
  • Preparation time for worship planning and media production

Qualifications

Required

  • Strong personal faith and commitment to spiritual growth
  • Musical proficiency (vocal and instrumental)
  • Experience leading worship in a church setting
  • Basic knowledge of audio/visual equipment and production software
  • Team-building and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication abilities

Preferred

  • Formal music training or education
  • Experience with digital audio workstations and video editing software
  • Understanding of worship technology trends
  • Knowledge of copyright laws relating to worship music and streaming
