Position Overview
The Kid's Ministry Director is responsible for overseeing and implementing a vibrant, Bible-based ministry for children from preschool through elementary ages. This part-time position (13 hours/week) plays a crucial role in nurturing the spiritual development of children while equipping parents and volunteers to disciple the next generation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, recruit, and develop a team of preschool and elementary volunteers
- Create and manage volunteer schedules
- Attend Monday office hours and actively participate in staff meetings
- Teach children Bible-based curriculum during Sunday services
- Prepare all necessary materials for children's programming
- Plan and organize special Kid's Ministry events throughout the year
- Equip parents with resources and strategies for at-home discipleship
- Train and empower children to serve as active members of the church family
Schedule
- Monday: Office hours and staff meetings
- Sunday: Morning services
- Additional hours as needed for special events
Qualifications
- Strong personal faith and commitment to Christ
- Passion for children's spiritual growth and development
- Experience in children's ministry or education preferred
